Welcome to the 2011-12 School Year! The year is off to an exciting start. It is so gratifying to drive into school each day and see the progress of the Field House. I admit that I am like a little kid gawking at the cranes and cement trucks! The PA coffee was a huge success and it was fun to meet many of the moms and even a dad or two. I want to take this opportunity to thank Kaina Martin for hosting the coffee at her house. That is the true meaning of Dr. Fiander’s “Year of Plan B”. The Back to School nights have given us a chance to meet the teachers and find out a little about what our children do all day. In the next few weeks, we have many events to look forward to including Casino Night, Friday lunch tastings, and the Halloween parade and parties. Finally, I hope that all of you will consider volunteering on one of the many committees or events the PA is hosting. Volunteers are always needed! If you signed up for a volunteer position and haven’t been contacted, please feel free to e-mail me at pa@chathamdayschool.org and I will put you in touch with the correct chairperson. -- Gena Pogorzelski, Board President
