Early Childhood

The preschool program is designed as a joyful first school experience for children who turn three by October 1st. The focus of our preschool is on friendships, cooperative play, and expanding language and interests through our developmentally-appropriate and engaging curriculum.  Each day begins and ends with free play time, while structured learning activities throughout the day capitalize on the natural desire of children to explore and interact with teachers and peers. This class is designed to show young children that fun and learning go hand-in-hand.  Young students are read to every day as they are introduced to the rich world of literature.  Children enjoy both indoor and outdoor play and have time for expressing themselves creatively each day. Co-curricular classes in music, art, Spanish, and physical education are a part of our approach to educating the whole child.

Parents may choose either a three, four, or five full or half day schedule. Extended day options from 7:15 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. are available, as well as after school enrichment class offerings.
“At the end of each week, I appreciate receiving an email recapping my son’s week in preschool.  I make sure to forward these emails, filled with adorable photos, to both sets of grandparents.”     -Preschool parent
